Position Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to lead the redevelopment project at Avenue Market in Baltimore. The project aims to transform Avenue Market into a thriving hub for the local community, fostering economic growth and cultural diversity. The Project Manager is a part-time consultant position who is responsible for supervising the Avenue Market redevelopment project; from the planning stages through construction. The primary responsibilities includes managing workflow with internal and external project partners and ensuring the project stays on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive Project Management plan, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
· Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
· Coordinate project timelines, resources, and tasks to ensure efficient project execution.
· Conduct regular project meetings with the project team, stakeholders, and contractors to review progress, address issues, and communicate updates.
· Work closely with external project consultants and internal team members to ensure the successful execution of the project's design vision.
· Manage the procurement process for the project, including General Contractor selection, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation.
· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
· Monitor procurement timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure adherence to project objectives.
· Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
· Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in real estate, foodservice development, or construction industry.
· Demonstrated understanding of community engagement strategies and techniques.
· Adept at navigating diverse stakeholder perspectives, understanding and responding to emotions effectively, and cultivating a positive and collaborative project environment.
· Capable to address concerns with the utmost professionalism and build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders.
· Proficiency in Project Management software and tools.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Familiarity with procurement processes, contract management, and budgeting.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
