Job Summary:
Kymber is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager, to support the Native Collective Research Effort to Enhance Wellness: Addressing Overdose, Substance Use, Mental Health, and Pain Program (subsequently referred to as N CREW). This program is funded by NIH’s Helping to End Addiction Long-term® (HEAL) Initiative. It bolsters research across NIH to improve prevention and treatment for opioid misuse and addiction, and pain management. The team member will support the development of partnerships across Tribes and Native American Serving Organizations (T/NASOs) and Ally Organizations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Designing and implementing meetings to include in-person/hybrid and virtual opportunities to engage with different N CREW funded recipients in various ways that support effective partnership building
- Identifying effective communications approaches to support partnership development and teaming activities, as well as other communication needs within the N CREW program
- Engaging in audience outreach to ensure the meetings and related activities are relevant and to promote high engagement
- Developing materials to support partnership development activities before, during, and after the teaming meetings, as well as other materials needed for the N CREW Program
- Meeting plans, including planned content and communication approaches that support partnership development for teaming meetings
- Organizing events related to communications includes strategic planning sessions and routine meetings with NIH to develop a partnership development strategy for fostering communication and partnership development in the Teaming Meetings
- Developing messages for all meetings and teaming related activities and shared communication resources
- Designing, developing, executing, and reporting of approved surveys, polls, or focus groups to provide feedback (e.g., on meetings or selected communication approaches)
- Contributing to the design and delivery of the partnership development strategy for the Teaming Meeting should also support opportunities to network, build trust, identify potential partners, and support engagement in other partnership development activities
- Providing management of project activities, personnel and administrative functions related to specific tasks and ensures that technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner
- Directing and managing staff assignments and monitors product quality and ensures project milestones meet deliverable schedules, and reports on project status to the program manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.)/ Bachelor of Art (B.A.) in Communications, Journalism, or other related discipline.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) working with the health-related subject matter or for similar government agencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
