General Description:
The Project Development Associate will assist in the development of solar and storage projects under 20MWac throughout the United States. This is a fast-paced and multi-faceted role facing multiple internal and external stakeholders and provides exposure to commercial matters. This position will be on a Hybrid Remote Work Schedule, working three days in office and two days from home.
Main accountabilities:
- Support Project Development team with all aspects of solar and storage Project Development including review of regulatory, environmental, real estate, technical and interconnection due diligence for projects under 20MW AC
- Ensure all project related information is accurate and up to date, including budgets, schedules, and other critical information
- Conduct due diligence and project analysis for PV solar rooftop and ground mounted projects in various states
- Draft preliminary feasibility reports, including permit road map, development budget, schedule and risk analysis
- Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, and construction to ensure efficient and compliant development of solar projects.
- Communicate with consultants, external stakeholders and developers and other third parties to ensure project success
- Lead application efforts to various solar incentive programs
- Ensure development activities are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Monitor interconnection studies performed by utilities and third parties
- Manage project level expenditures and schedules

Minimum qualifications:- Minimum of 2 years supporting the development of multiple solar energy projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
- Knowledge of navigating site development activities including, but not limit to, utility interconnection, site control, permitting, and environmental studies
- Familiarity with the system design process and critical components
- Financial planning, budgeting, organizational and resource management abilities
- Strong prioritization skills with ability to timely achieve goals, and effectively manage a variety of project stakeholders
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and tight timelines without prompt
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or other technological platforms and products critical
