Scientist, Cell Line Development

This is an exciting Scientist position in Cell Line Development. We are looking for an innovative motivated Scientist to join our growing team.
FibroBiologics is a publicly traded clinical-stage Biopharmaceutical company with 150+ U.S. and international issued patents issued/pending, focused on developing and commercializing fibroblast-based therapies for patients suffering from chronic diseases with significant unmet medical needs, including degenerative disc disease, multiple sclerosis, wound healing, certain cancers, and potential extension of life applications including thymic involution reversal, and splenic injury repair.
In this position you will be responsible for developing multiple Cell Lines from human tissues. The position requires expertise in primary cell isolation, single cell cloning, adherent cell culture expansion and maintenance, flow cytometry, and protein analysis. Responsibilities:
- Perform single cell cloning, maintenance, and identification of clonal candidate populations with advanced process and analytical equipment.
- Optimize media formulations for expansion of multiple cell types.
- Characterize mammalian cells and tissues by flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, and PCR assays.
- Participate in experimental design and execution.
- Author SOPs, cell banking and cell identification protocols.
- Use good documentation practices in electronic notebooks to establish and maintain records of the work being performed.
- Examine in-process and post-process data, prepare technical reports, summaries, and statistical analysis.
- Work in a team environment, collaborating with various colleagues across multiple departments.
- Help to maintain laboratory equipment and material inventory, and order supplies as needed.
- Support FDA IND documentation as needed.
- Maintain familiarity with FDA regulations and updates.
- Additional activities as needed.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with stem cells, iPSCs, or cell cloning.
- Outstanding tissue culture skills, including maintenance, expansion, differentiation, and banking of several Cell Lines simultaneously.
- Experienced in isolation, sorting, characterization, and expansion of primary cells from tissues.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with maintenance and stability of human cells, and cell banks.
- Experience in flow cytometry, ELISA, cell sorting, light and fluorescence microscopy, as well as DNA/RNA and protein-based molecular biology approaches.
- Strong computational skills, experienced with Word, Excel, Power Point, DOE, and GraphPad Prism.
- Excellent organizational skills, record-keeping, and lab notebook tracking.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and function in a team-oriented environment.
- Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization which requires flexibility, and a willingness to learn new techniques and methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Adherent Cell Line Development, extensive flow cytometry and protein analysis experience
