Purpose: The Project Coordinator will assist program managers, operations, and client management teams with the coordination of resources, tasks, and information on mission critical Public Safety Projects. The Project Coordinator will enable the successful on-time delivery of next generation 911 projects and troubleshooting initiatives with the expected quality and scope. Project work will include location accuracy preparation, technology and tool analysis and updates, process efficiency efforts, and other efforts to advance 911 technology for Comtech clients.
While the ideal candidate must be well organized, flexible, and attend detailed minutia, strong systems analysis and people skills are also a requirement. This position requires both the ability to be personable while successfully orchestrating and executing assigned tasks. It is vital to handle challenges and complications efficiently and effectively as the point person for deployment and troubleshooting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the integration and testing of systems & subsystems. Manage and coordinate integration efforts between Public Safety IT subsystems and the NG9-1-1 system.
- Lead technical discussions in integration planning and manage associated action items.
- Assist in the coordination with project leads and subcontractors to continue review of all required interfaces with the NG9-1-1 system.
- Lead efforts to analyze data to spot anomalies, trends and correlate similar data sets.
- Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
- Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders by providing education, guidance, input, and initiatives to support project work.
- Develop project reporting dashboards to support project updates and readouts.
- Project meeting facilitation and support, taking and distributing minutes, and tracking action items and decisions with project team members.
- Gather status on tasks, capture risks, issues, action items, and update plans, and project documentation.
- Monitor tasks, track project milestones and take action to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Escalate project risks and issues and work with project team on solutions where applicable.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Additional project tasks and duties as required.

- Proven experience in task management and project status reporting
- 911 call flow understanding
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, planning skills
- Ability to prioritize and escalate where appropriate.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail.
- Competency with MS Project
- Competency with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Powerpoint, Sharepoint
- Experience with collaboration-based (social) project management tools is desired
Requirements:
- Four-year college degree or three years of 911 systems experience.
- Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) experience desired
- Two (2) years of project coordination experience on complex project desired.
