Our Support Professionals within Facilities and Operations are highly-respected and use their skills to keep the wheels turning. Your mission? To help create that legendary Disney magic for our Guests and customers. Our Facilities and Operations Team provides the vital space, equipment, and infrastructure to build a collaborative environment for the design teams to dream, design, and create.
You will report to the Manager - Facilities & Operations.
This is a 2-1/2 year-long Project Hire/Temporary Assignment position with no guarantee of permanent placement.
What You Will Do
You will be responsible for keeping the day-to-day workings of our office humming. It may include planning the move of employees, setting up an event, meeting with contractors, purchasing furniture, or redesigning an office space. You would play a key role in the organization by screening incoming phone calls/e-mails and advising those incoming questions and requests to the team members. As projects progress, you will generate purchase orders, track orders, and ensure payment of invoices.
Of course, there will be memos, expense reports, and spreadsheets. But this role is more about forming connections with your leaders and co-workers and understanding how the Disney enterprise is structured. Every day as a Support Professional is different! On any given day you might:
Make an inventory of the office supplies, then devise a more efficient way to keep things in stock
Review your leader’s schedule so you understand the day’s priorities
Think ahead about little things that can turn into big problems, like building in time to get to/from meetings at our sprawling offices
Schedule conference rooms, meetings, and video chats
Be ready to throw the entire schedule out the door when an emergency comes up, then pick it up again when the dust settles
Draft letters and emails on behalf of your leaders
Prepare regular reports and summaries -- you’ll have tasks that you “own” completely, and others that you assist with
Assist with on-boarding new employees – you’ll be the “friendly face” that newbies count on to answer all their questions
Manage purchase orders and vendor contracts
Plan events like birthdays, service anniversary recognition parties, lunch-and-learns, and team-building activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
At least 2 years in an administrative or support role
Ability to use SAP, Coupa or similar products
Sharp communication skills, including clean grammar
