WHAT IS THE JOB?

Joining our Leadership Development Team as a Project Coordinator, you’ll be instrumental in providing comprehensive project planning, coordination, and administrative support services cross-functionally and in support of the goals of the team. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to, managing departmental communication channels, supporting the administrative functions of event logistics, organizing data and resources, and maintaining digital platforms. With a strong emphasis on facilitating internal and external partner needs, your efforts will be pivotal in driving the achievement of our team’s objectives. We’re seeking candidates with exceptional interpersonal skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to adeptly manage multiple tasks.

• Taking Care of You Allowance: All AVID employees (that’s right, ALL employees) receive an extra $10,000 annually to provide support to employees in the most meaningful ways, including housing costs, transportation, family expenses—whatever your needs are.
  
• Happiness Stipend: This is a cash benefit to supplement pay for employees earning less than $72,800 annually in base pay*.
  
• Retirement planning: AVID Center provides a 10% salary contribution to a 403(b) retirement plan, starting after 90 days of full-time employment.
  
• Flexibility in work location: This position may work 100% remote (with an expectation of travel of +/- 10%) in any of the four times zones in the continental U.S., with an option for hybrid work at our San Diego campus.
  
• Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): This position is eligible for 17 days of PTO per year, with 12 paid holidays plus a winter break in between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
  
• Continued education opportunities: All full-time employees with at least 1 year of continuous AVID Center service are eligible for $5,250 per calendar year in tuition reimbursement for qualifying coursework or certification.
  
Company-provided equipment and home office setup, including a laptop and extra monitor.

Pay Rates for This Position

We bring in all employees at the midpoint of the salary range for your role. Knowing that not all cities share the same cost of labor, we make offers using a tiered approach based on your geographical location. The majority of our employee-base live in a Zone 1 or Zone 2 location.

For the Project Coordinator, Leadership Development position, here is what we will offer:

Zone 1 (e.g., Charleston, WV, Cleveland, OH, Yuma, AZ, Omaha, NE, etc.): $27.78 / hour

Zone 2 (e.g., Syracuse, NY, Ann Arbor, MI, Denver, CO, San Diego, CA, etc.): $29.87 / hour

Zone 3 (e.g., Washington, DC, Trenton, NJ, Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA, etc.): $31.95 / hour

Zone 4 (e.g., Bridgeport, CT, New York City, NY, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, etc.): $35.43 / hour

• You have a minimum of a high school diploma, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a Project Coordinator, or similar, capacity.
• You are comfortable working remotely, with an ability for occasional travel (approximately 10%).

NICE TO HAVES?

• Professional AVID experience (site-level or internal AVID Center experience) and knowledge of the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework
• Experience with platforms such as Canvas, Salesforce, Smartsheet, and MyAVID
• Bachelor’s Degree

• Allowable Substitutions: Any combination of experience, training, or credential certification endorsement that provides the incumbent/applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the work, as determined by AVID Center. Qualifying work experience, as identified by the Senior Director, Human Resources, may substitute for the education requirement.
