WHEDA is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Specialist on our Commercial Lending team in our Madison office. This position is responsible for coordinating and carrying out the day-to-day operations related to the Commercial Lending Department.
Position Summary
The Program Specialist for Commercial Lending is responsible for administrative support for the department that includes both clerical and program coordination activities.
Salary Information
Hiring Range for this position is from $20.83/hr. to $25.24/hr. Offered Salary will be based on qualifications and internal pay equity. Job Details
Essential Duties:
- Processing multi-family loans, tax credits, tax-exempt applications
- Processing construction funding/draw requests
- Processing, analyzing, and tracking letters of credit
- Coordinating and assisting in the administration of Federal funds
- Maintaining and designing team web pages Issuing documentation to reserve, carryover, and allocation of Federal low-income housing tax credits.
Candidate will have knowledge of:
- Applicable principles and practices in assigned program area
- Applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations
- Data collection methods
- Loan programs and documentation requirements
- Financial statement and cash flow analysis methods Underwriting principles and practices
- Payment processing and receipt processing procedures
- Investor, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginne Mae, FHA and Insurer requirements
- Escrow rules and regulations (RESPA)
- Homeowners Insurance general principles
- Basics of Private Mortgage Insurance
- Mathematical principles and practices
- Accounting principles and practices
- Modern office practices and equipment
- English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Records maintenance principles
- Customer service principles.
Candidate will the following skills:

Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and four years of progressively responsible experience related to the area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
