Program Manager- Manufacturing

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Manager to join our team. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing various programs within our manufacturing environment, with a focus on tracking open orders, planning and scheduling, quality assurance, and estimating. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace manufacturing, familiarity with Mil Spec standards, and AS9100 certification. Knowledge of Job Boss software is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

• Program Management:
• Oversee multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure program success.
• Develop and maintain program schedules, identifying critical milestones and dependencies.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on program status and address any concerns or issues.
• Order Tracking:
• Track and monitor open orders, ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
• Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and prioritize orders accordingly.
• Proactively identify potential delays or bottlenecks in the production process and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Planning and Scheduling:
• Develop production plans and schedules based on customer demand, resource availability, and production capacity.
• Optimize production schedules to minimize lead times and maximize efficiency.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to allocate resources effectively and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Quality Assurance:
• Implement and maintain quality management systems in accordance with AS9100 standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Investigate and address any quality issues or non-conformities that arise during the manufacturing process.
• Estimating:
• Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to prepare accurate cost estimates for new projects and customer orders.
• Analyze historical data and production costs to develop realistic cost projections.
• Review and validate cost estimates to ensure profitability and competitiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in program management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
• Familiarity with Mil Spec standards and AS9100 certification requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and ERP systems.
• Experience with Job Boss software is a plus.
