We are seeking an equally passionate Program Manager - Construction Review to help further our mission through excellent craftsmanship, customer service, and a team-focused approach.
As the Program Manager - Construction Review, you will oversee the Additional Scope Review process, which entails assessing customers' homes and determining any home upgrades (electrical, roofing, etc.) required for successful code compliant solar installations. This is likely to include establishing an efficient process, creating / maintaining SOP documentation, training the design and field operations teams, managing pricing standards, and following applicable local and national codes.
Essential Job Functions
- Own the additional scope process, including professional business decisions based on safety, code compliance, cost, and cycle time.
- Collaborate with electrical license holders in each market as well as department directors to establish and maintain electrical and roofing scope of work standards, including types of work covered, conditions justifying when work should be done, and the cost of each type of work
- Work with design leaders to leverage existing team and processes to incorporate reviews.
- Maintain process documentation to ensure all process steps can be easily referenced.
- Train employees and monitor the process to ensure compliance and quality.
- Manage projects in a CRM environment, ensuring all necessary steps and communications are performed for clean, efficient project flow
- Inspect photos of existing electrical and roofing systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments or repair, and to assure compliance with state and local codes.
- Advise on the repair or replacement of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, as well as roof covering, decking, flashing, or components.
- Oversee materials and equipment ordered to make sure that they are code compliant.
Education/Experience
- 6+ years field experience as an electrician and/or solar installer.
- Electrician license preferred.
- Expert knowledge of residential electrical and roofing standards.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code and local building codes.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar software. Knowledge on how to make entries and uploads as necessary. Proficiency with Google Workspace also preferred.
- Experience in reading blueprints, a tape measure and technical drawings.
- Experience in bending tubing or conduit and fabricating, assembling and disassembling manufactured products by hand.
- Must be able to understand service or repair manuals.
- Experience in evaluating information to determine compliance with standards.
- Experience in performing safety inspections in construction or resource extraction settings and industrial, manufacturing or repair settings.
