**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**
Job Description: Assist with planning, scheduling, coordinating, tasking, and monitoring participation CJCS Bomber Task Force missions. Support the AFSTRAT/A3’s portion of the planning process, coordinate, and advocate for bomber weapon systems (B-1, B-2 and B-52) capabilities and limitations in support of all Geographic (GCC) and Combatant Command (CCMD) planned and emergent requirements. Participate in Air Force Global Strike Command scheduling and Long-Range Planning Process Team to lead the AFSTRAT/A3’s operational planning team (OPT) to schedule and plan bombers and personnel in CJCS exercises to ensure training objectives are maximized. Assist in preparing AFGSC units for bomber task force activities.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in annual CCMD BTF planning conferences to integrate bomber capabilities and participation into the CCMD planning cycle.
- Support planning conferences at the USSTRATCOM, USAFRICOM, USEUCOM, USINDOPACOM and USCENTCOM as required.
- Support budgeting, scheduling, planning and execution aspects of AFSTRAT/A3’s participation in the CJCS BTF planning process.
- Produce required background papers, briefs, and reports to submit to the COR.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, tasking, and monitoring participation in CJCS command post (CPX) and field training exercises.
- Provide expertise to coordinate and advocate AFGSC asset participation with all GCC and international partners.
- Ensure training objectives are maximized.
- Assist preparing units for BTF activities.
- Write, coordinate, and facilitate exercise scenario construction and training objectives.
- Build and present briefings and active participation in the planning conferences and coordination of training requirements.
- Provide program task management to include analysis, planning, execution, and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 10+ years’ experience planning, scheduling, tasking, monitoring, and coordinating execution in all aspects of 8 AF participation in the CJCS exercises including CPX and FTX exercises.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- 10+ years’ experience with preparing 8 AF exercise budget inputs into the POM.
- 10+ years of experience in writing, coordinating, and facilitating exercise scenario development construction for 8 AF units.
- Expertise in advocation for 8 AF participation with all Geographic and Combatant Commands and international partners.
- Strong understanding of military command structures, planning processes, and Exercise coordination.
- Experience in military operations planning, scheduling, and execution support, particularly with bomber aircraft and task forces.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Extensive experience working in AFGSC’s Scheduling and Resource Process Team and leading 8 AF OPT to schedule and plan exercises.
- Extensive experience with working with outside agencies to support and schedule joint exercises.
- Position requires periodic travel within CONUS and OCONUS to support mission objectives, including but limited to locations such as Hawaii, Alaska, Africa, Egypt, Germany, Guam and Morocco.
