Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):
$45.812 - $59.112 - $72.412
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
The Program Manager, Compensation, Benefits - Total Rewards provides consultation, analytics, research, and systems support in the development and administration of system wide compensation and benefits programs, initiatives, and projects. Is the identified business owner of processes/projects/procedures/systems across Total Rewards.
May lead, contribute and/or participate in the design, development, and implementation of compensation and benefit programs, ensures regulatory compliance and integrity of programs offered, and provides education and training, as requested. This role is on point to perform data analytics, business translation, report generation and design presentations to deliver to senior executives.
Required Qualifications
  • 5 years' experience as a compensation and benefits professional in a large, complex organization.
  • Experience in working with all levels of employees.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree business, human resources, or related field
  • Master's Degree business, human resources, or related field.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification OR
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.

Other Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field; or 5 years of verified professional experience in Total Rewards. - Preferred.
  • CEBS - preferred
    CCS - preferred
    White Belt - preferred

Essential Functions
  • Across Total Rewards (Wellbeing/Compensation/Benefits/Regulatory Compliance), independent of direct supervision, the incumbent will perform advanced/top line/high performing/HRO with a cradle to grave expectation (full cycle) of service delivery as an identified business owner:
    * Program leadership
    * Project management
    * Report generation and data analytics
    * Business consulting and associated analytics
    * Interpolate and prepare executive presentations; present outcomes to regulators/executives/committees/as directed
    * Process improvement/review/enrichment/optimization, and may utilize and engage LEAN Six Sigma resources
  • Independent of Supervision, the incumbent is expected to perform top line service delivery at the highest level, with sophistication and elegance, yielding desired outcomes and results:
    * Program leadership: inception to completion, to support actions/activities/KSAs
    * Vendor management and coordination
    * Contract administration - not limited to: RFP, renewal, sunsetting, market review, etc.
    * Broker management/partnership/coordination - direct, consult, challenge and innovate
    * Budget: construction & maintenance, analytics, accountability, results focused
    * Project management - full cycle ownership, work plans, timelines, full 'package' delivery
  • Initiatives, knowledge, business objectives, tactics, skills, and service delivery across Total Rewards. This role serves as a true generalist and is expected to perform essential functions across the Total Rewards functional disciplines.
    * Participates in and serves as a technical resource in the development and implementation of compensation policy/practice, budget, and pay structures through analysis and reporting
    * Participates in and serves as Total Rewards technical resource in the development and implementation of system wide programs
    * Consults on, drafts, creates, reviews, edits, influences; benefit/compensation/wellbeing plan communications and systems to assure efficient operations and positive perception by employees, leadership and HRTM staff
    * Attends employee meetings, as requested, to present a wide variety of Total Rewards issues in an accurate, succinct and simplified manner.
    * May provide education and training on compensation programs for employees and management including job descriptions, JDX web-based job library, job evaluation, market pricing methodologies and Sharp HealthCare's pay practices, merit guidelines and pay policies
    * May provide system wide pay rate recommendations for new hires, transfers and promotions
    * Assists with JDX workflows and engages with leaders when creating or revising job descriptions
    * Job evaluations - assist with timely job analysis and job evaluations using market pricing methodology for assigned client groups
    * Conducts market studies and performs equity analysis, compression studies, and reporting
    * Conducts and participates in national, regional and local salary and total compensation and benefits surveys
    * Provides consultation on compensation and benefit plan compliance and regulatory changes, and serves as technical resource in the implementation of compliance initiatives
    * Researches and analyzes regulatory issues, and ensures timely response and implementation of needed changes
    * Maintains current knowledge of wage and hour law, and benefit plan regulatory requirements, laws & mandates
    * Provides guidance to benefits staff and serves as resource to HR staff on regulatory issues, changes, and requirements
    * Possesses a superior technical knowledge of the workings of group insurance plans-plan documents, summary plan descriptions and other insurance mechanisms
    * Assists leadership in evaluating and comparing existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys and other sources of information. Plans, develops, and/or participates in area and industry surveys. Analyzes results of surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
    * Installs new plans and changes by preparing announcement material, brochures, and other media for communicating to employees
    * Collaborates with multiple internal departments to operationalize benefit programs
    * Prepares and/or monitors project timelines for all benefit projects
    * Participates in assigned Committee / Board meetings or events
    * Performs other essential duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to successfully demonstrate knowledge of base pay, incentive and performance-based compensation programs.
  • Ability to successfully demonstrate knowledge of benefit plans, legal compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to successfully demonstrate interpersonal and communications skills sufficient to clearly present technical data to large groups of people and influence management.
  • Ability to successfully demonstrate the analysis of complex data and to prepare clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Ability to successfully demonstrate and coordinate large Total Rewards compensation and benefits projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees and management to influence decisions in a manner that is viewed as helpful and positive.
  • Ability to successfully demonstrate competency in program leadership, project management, process optimization, report generation and business consulting, budget ownership & accountability, full cycle 'package' development (as described above), and other essential functions as assigned.
