This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as Program Manager and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in managing the execution of international training and education activities and policies, funded through various programs and sources to include International Military Education & Training (IMET) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)/Foreign Military Financing (FMF) cases.Qualifications: You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Implement and coordinate Title 10 or Title 22 Security Cooperation international military training and education program policies and activities; Coordinate with security cooperation entities, such as Military Departments, Schoolhouses, Department of State, and Combatant Commands to share best practices to enhance international military training and education program objectives; Analyze existing training and education program policies to identify and recommend required revisions due to new legislation requirements; Prepare analytical and statistical materials for senior leaders' testimony at congressional hearings or in response to inquiries; and monitor and update databases to track data and generate reports for analysis.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education:
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
