Job Description
Assist with maintaining accurate and complete financial records for companies by performing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank transactions to the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Job Duties:
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs to ensure proper coding of expenses and timely. payment to vendors.
- Monitor and record daily bank activity to ensure accurate GL balances.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
- Manage daily bank balances and perform necessary transfers to maintain proper balances in all accounts.
- Process weekly payments to vendors via check, draft, ACH.
- Reconcile corporate American Express Statements on a monthly basis.
- Assist with annual audit work as needed.
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's or master's degree in tax, accounting, or finance required.
Experience:
2 to 3 years minimum accounting experience preferred.
