Job Overview: The Program Manager will join a dynamic small aerospace company where you will take on program management roles, on missions that make a big difference to the United States and our allies. Our customers are a mix of US Government prime contracts plus contracts with important US prime contractors. You must have aerospace and defense products experience, and experience in high reliability hardware products. You will support multiple programs at any one time, multiplexing across product types such as batteries, RF and avionics assemblies. You will be active with customers, suppliers and help coordinate in-house team members working in engineering, production, assembly, and test to balance customer schedule needs. The right candidate will have demonstrated success in development and qualification programs, and production through test and delivery.
The Program Manager will have programmatic P&L responsibility for their programs/contracts, responsible for program financial performance to bidding expectations, and help manage customers and customer satisfaction. The Program Manager will be the primary customer interface for program execution and new business (follow-ons, change orders if appropriate) related to program. Must be willing and eager to work as a team member in a team environment. Execute program deliveries within company, managing to schedule and to budget. Support monthly program reviews within company and customer reviews as specified in contract.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall program, including planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling, most times starting with the proposal.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources allocation
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices
- Foster a collaborative team environment and promote effective communication
- Provide guidance and support to project team members
- Conduct regular project reviews to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a Program Manager working in the Aerospace industry
- Strong knowledge of program management methodologies and tools
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Experience in quality management principles and practices
- Ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
In-Office job role: This job role is 100% on-site, in Chatsworth, CA – not remote.
Requirements: Aerospace, high reliability hardware program management experience is required. US Citizenship is required. A college degree from an accredited university is a requirement, an engineering degree is a plus, and an advanced degree is a plus. You must demonstrate outstanding communications skills – written and verbal. The right attitude, the right experience and solid capability are considered the most important.
