SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Sr Vice President Human Resources, this position of Human Resources Generalist is responsible for acting as a resource on Human Resources matters, all aspects of recruitment, onboarding (New Hire Orientation), and office assistance and support to Sr Vice President HR and the HR Team, Daily job duties range from complex to routine, and often include consulting with managers and employees, identifying and resolving employee-related matters; benefits, recruitment, FMLA, and providing guidance on any magnitude of issues.
An addition, the Human Resources Generalist may be responsible for assisting with developing and implementing procedures, performance reviews, new hire orientation, training programs, benefits planning, recruitment assessments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors retention, writes and places advertisements.
- Manages employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
- Organization of employee on-site and off-site events.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Knowledge of ADP is necessary!
- Monthly HR Reporting, headcount, EEOC, OSHA compliance, and FMLA.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources Generalist experience preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years Recruitment experience entry level to professional placements.
- HRIS Systems Experience - ADP - HR& Benefits.
- Automotive Industry experience preferred.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, excel, and PowerPoint. Must be familiar with internet search, the use of email and recruiting websites.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, superb communication both verbal and written.
- Ability to author reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
- This position requires the use of good team skills such as cooperation, information sharing, task sharing, timely completion of assignments, good listening and communication skills and overall respect for other team members.
