The Health Solutions Business Area of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Program Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will report to the Finance & Business Operations Manager. This position requires an energetic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst responsible for assisting in planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of all financial aspects of a program.
This role is fully telecommuting, must be located in the United States. Anticipated travel 10%
Primary Responsibilities:
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- With oversight by the Financial Business Operations Manager, the candidate will support the project team members in the planning, tracking, analysis, financial planning, and reporting of the program. Will be hands-on in the development, maintenance, and/or tracking of Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) and related dictionaries, work authorization process, funding management, subcontractor management, material control, cost collection, technical performance, integrated analysis /reporting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) tracking/analysis.
Qualifications:
- Requires a broad knowledge of this field. Must have ability to analyze problems for root cause and identify corrective actions.
- Requires a comprehensive understanding of cost and schedule development and controls.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to carry out and understand assignments, and/or convey or exchange routine information.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as key member of a team.
- Must possess a strong background working with multiple contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive (FPI), Cost Plus (CPxF), and hybrid contracts.
- Must have project management or project control experience working with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), Control Accounts, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), cost accounting and financial management systems, work authorizations, process management systems, and reporting.
- Must be able to analyze and forecast Income Statement performance (Revenue, Expense, Profit, Cash) vs plan with understanding of variance drivers. Includes AR, Unbilled, AP, etc.
- Must be able to support forward-looking program performance forecasting (e.g., program EACs and FP&A forecasts).
- Must have experience in monthly invoice review, approval, and backup preparation. Includes analysis of contract mods, funding limitations, financial risk exposure.
- Must understand revenue recognition methods, program backlog positions, labor mix and impacts.
- Requires preparation of Quarterly Financial Status Review (QFSR) presentations and other ad hoc presentations.
- Experienced with ad hoc reporting and performance analysis to assist finance leadership and program management with management of the program.
- Must be extremely comfortable with MS Excel or other similar desktop tools that provide capabilities to collect and analyze information.
- Must possess strong organizational, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or a Master’s and 2+ years’ experience as a Financial Analyst
- Strong MS Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables) and Office skills (e.g. PowerPoint)
- High level of attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Leidos Financial Systems and Contract Setup Processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Power Pivot, Power BI, Power Query
- Prior experience in government contracting

Pay Range:
Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
