The Program Analyst, Asset Allocation will help define and implement the strategy for the firm's investment portfolio. Working closely with other teams in our New York Investment Office, you will participate in the management of our company's ~$150+ billion general account.
Responsibilities:
- Assess risk-adjusted investment opportunities and develop and implement our cross-sector portfolio strategy
- Support assessment and formal recommendation of various trade ideas leveraging macroeconomic views, peer research, and quantitative analysis
- Build out portfolio management tools for tracking trading activity and security purchases and assessment of performance and relative value across strategies
- Support development of our strategy around new asset classes
- Lead daily tracking effort for purchases of new assets and ensure execution on our asset sourcing plan
- Prepare materials on our investment strategy and performance for senior leadership, board members, regulators, and potential investors
- Liaise with portfolio managers and other business teams on ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives
- Proactively monitor the macroeconomic backdrop and how it impacts our portfolio
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic record and 2+ year of relevant professional experience
- Strong background in both Excel and PowerPoint and familiarity with programming languages and quantitative concepts
- Interest in financial markets, portfolio construction, and asset management; knowledge of insurance company-specific investment and accounting considerations a plus
- Previous experience in working with financial or numerical datasets
- Energetic, inquisitive and an initiative to take on high impact projects that cover new ground for the team and the company
- Highly professional and team oriented; organized with acute attention to detail
- Strong balance of technical and communication skills
- Progress towards CFA designation a plus
