Our North American Commercial Operations, as well as our Headquarters and Technology Center for Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics, are based in Bedford, MA. Our Headquarters and Technology Center for Autoimmunity Diagnostics is based in San Diego, CA. Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.

Program Overview:

Designed to provide a unique, accelerated rotational experience, the program provides participants with an in-depth understanding of who we are and what we do here at Werfen that drives our passion for patient care.

The two-year program is broken down into four, six-month rotations across select departments and project teams. Your rotational assignments will be customized to support your development and provide you with the knowledge and experience to support a successful and rewarding career with Werfen.

Throughout your program experience, there will be regular discussions with your manager and the Program Lead to help identify options for career paths within Werfen. Unique networking opportunities, exposure to senior leadership and individual career coaching are available to all program participants.

Responsibilities

Position Description:

Summary

The PDP will gain exposure to a variety of tasks while in this role. While focusing on the North American Service organization, the PDP will gain an understanding of how measured operational metrics have an impact on Werfen’s financials. Through analyzing reports and meeting with key stakeholders, the PDP will be able to apply conceptual material in a practical setting. In addition, the PDP will be directly responsible for deliverying on the Projects listed below during the first rotation. The rotations will include spending time in Service FP&A, R&D FP&A, Service Operations and a 4th assignment to be determined. This will provide for a well-rounded experience across multiple FP&A groups as well as experience in the Service Department. The 4th rotation can be catered towards the interest of the candidate after spending time at Werfen getting to know the business.

Key Responsibilities/Objectives:

• Prepare financial reports and analyze overall performance
• Track KPIs and measure operational performance for field-based employees
• Take the lead in cross-collaboration automation project for monthly reports
• Identify opportunities for continued revenue growth and develop tracking mechanisms
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure that they understand information presented to them

Project Assignments:

• Service Operations Standardization Project
  • Taking financial metrics in MS Excel and automating the reporting in Power BI in collaboration with the Commerical Operations Team
• Flat-Rate Preventative Maintenance Revenue Growth Project
  • Perform financial analysis around existing customer base to determine what customers groups are likely to purchase services based on characteristcs of customer
  • Provide a dashboard that can be used to target customers to offer Flat Rate PM Services to so that action can be taken by Sales/Service

Intended Skill/Knowledge/Capabilities/Development:

Over the course of this rotation, the PDP will obtain the following:

• Understanding of the NoA Werfen P&L
• Understanding of how operational metrics impact organizational financials
• Experience with practical Excel applications
• Experience with applying conceptual Finance and Accouting concepts in a practical environment

Candidate Profile:

Education: Undergraduate degree required, Graduate degree desirable

Experience: 0-4 years of professional work experience
