Position Summary:

The Program Director is responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of the social services aspect of The Formation Project’s programming, including case management, referral response and intakes, crisis coordination, and survivor peer community.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $80,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Top Duties:

  • Supervision of direct service team.
  • Responsible for development and consistent evaluation and improvement of sustainable (ie cost-effective) TFP services, with first priority being development of case management services to align with national best, trauma-informed, harm-reductionist, and culturally responsive practices. Case management should be goal and dignity oriented (empowering not enabling). Development of the case management program includes prioritizing data collection processes and tools. Development of case management also includes clearly identifying who we serve and how (ie, taking into account timeline and nature of victimization, location of the victim, developing and implementing a needs assessment to quantify expectations of financial assistance, and developing and implementing goal setting and measuring). Programs should align with the TFP’s current goals of Safety, Stability, and Connection (Judith Herman’s Three Phases of Trauma Recovery)
  • Respond to referrals and crisis calls from partners and triage the response with case managers (we are not a 24/7 responder, but there are times we work after hours)
  • Collects data and participates in ongoing data analysis with organizational leadership to ensure alignment of work with stated principles and program goals/objectives; responsible for programmatic grant reporting
  • Steps in to provide periodic and/or crisis-based case management when necessary (i.e., absence of case management staff)
  • Primarily responsible for creating, officializing, and maintaining service relationships - Attends community collaboratives as "face of the program", ensuring that partners know services that TFP provides and how to make a low barrier referral; responsible for creating and maintaining partner MOU’s
  • Provides training to volunteers, professionals on indicators, screening, and referral process; assist with speaking engagements as requested

Other Responsibilities:

Program development and implementation that clearly aligns with and accomplishes the mission:

  • Create and implement programs that are evidence-based and that accomplish the TFP mission (work with the CEO and survivor-leaders to create programs)
  • Identify metrics of success, including timelines for success and projected budget/costs, for each program
  • Implement programs within the timeline and budgetary goals established
  • Coordinate on a frequent basis with the Finance Director to ensure costs are within budget
  • Work with the CEO in program development, including ensuring grant applications and donor asks align with development goals

Program Evaluation:

  • Ensure key data is tracked for effective and consistent evaluation of programs
  • Consistently evaluate programs, determine an evaluation plan and calendar that include key partners

 Reporting:

  • Report the impact, cost, and evaluation of programs to the CEO on a frequency established by the CEO in a written report
  • Work with the CEO to assist with the Programmatic reporting for grants

Organizational Leadership:

  • Provide feedback to your supervisor and/or TFP leadership on how we can best serve the mission
  • Edit job description at least annually
  • Attend board meetings as requested
  • Foster relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders
  • Actively participate, inform, and support the implementation of organizational strategy, goals, practices, and policies
Qualifications:

Required Experience and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in project management
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in human trafficking, housing and homelessness, domestic violence, refugee resettlement, sexual assault, or other related fields.
  • At least 6-8 years of experience with direct staff supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Zoom
  • Advanced training in the impact of trauma
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, growing environment

Key metrics:

  • Have a case management program structure within 3 months of starting date and structure and implement consistent evaluation
  • Participants have a 70% success rate with 1. timelines, 2. goals, 3. costs of programs (this includes having "success" clearly defined)
  • Cost per participant to graduate each program is sustainable and scalable
  • All Program Team is up-to-date on State and Grant certifications
  • Programs are consistently measured, monitored, evaluated, and improved for being evidence-based, efficient, and effective
  • Evaluations will occur, at minimum, annually, but may occur quarterly or semi-annually. Positions will be evaluated on upholding of Vibe and Values and Key Metrics

  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • The position requires the ability to work on a computer for all or part of the workday. The person in this position must be able to communicate via phone, video, and email
  • This position requires working set, core hours, Monday through Friday
  • This position requires travel at least once or twice per year via airplane, car, or train
  • The position requires the ability to attend events that may encompass all or part of the workday
