Job Description Summary
This position performs a wide variety of technical, evaluative, organizational and managerial functions for the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC), Special Programs Office and various programs, projects, and activities. The service population includes the Criminal Justice Division, other departments within the College, local, state, and federal agencies, tribal governments, community groups, universities, and service organizations. This position requires subject matter expertise relevant to assigned projects, strong ability to apply techniques and processes to deliver, develop, design, evaluate, and manage NCJTC activities, including training, technical assistance, budget management and conferences.
This position includes travel and work from home or remote locations.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates the delivery of training and technical assistance for assigned NCJTC Special Programs Office projects.
- Assess customer requests for hosting training programs including developing proposed schedules and training locations.
- Identifies and assigns instructors and support staff to coordinate NCJTC training, conferences and new program development.
- Coordinate with host sites for delivery of training, conferences and with new program development, including technical assistance delivery.
- Plan, develop and coordinate project deliverables in accordance with applicable contracts, grants, and/or FVTC policies and procedures. Coordinate planning, budgeting, and allocating resources for assigned projects.
- Conduct pre-training site selection, and supervise follow-up and evaluation. This may require travel to off-campus events in- and out-of-state.
- Prepare monthly, semi-annual and annual project reports and other outputs as requested. Prepare or assist in the development of special program reports as needed.
- Perform project or program tasks required in the administration and delivery of all training, conferences and with new program development.
- Lead onsite coordination efforts for the delivery of training, conferences and with new program development. Coordinate and track associate instructors, participants and coordinate facility logistics needs.
- Coordinate the development and update of curriculum including learning objectives and lesson plans. Coordinate curriculum development, project materials and other applicable resources in conjunction with field Coordinators, Specialists, Support Staff and the Program Administrator as needed.
- Coordinate with internal and external clients to develop and implement the training calendar, agendas and program materials for meetings, conferences, training and other project activities.
- Use project databases, tools, management systems, reports, and other processes and procedures to ensure efficient operation and foster teamwork to accomplish project goals.
- Serve as initial point of contact for training and technical assistance communications with the service population.
- Perform other related duties as necessary for effective project coordination supporting the best interest of NCJTC.
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, AND,
- Minimum two years related, five years preferred, relevant occupational experience working in or with criminal justice/social service partners, OR
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
- Experience with curriculum development/design, grant management, project management is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics, Peoplesoft and other computer programs as applicable.
- Travel is required.

Additional Information
Pay: $62,900.00 - $94,300.00 per year.
Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wages will be based on the applicable compensation structure.
