Description
The purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate services, programs, and activities under the general supervision of the Executive Director. This position is also responsible for supervising and training assigned volunteers.
Responsibilities
1. Program Development, Promotion, Implementation, and Evaluation
Develop, implement, maintain, coordinate, and evaluate TGP programs, services, and activities which will contribute to the maintenance of the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of seniors.
Organize accessible, educational opportunities by offering a variety of lectures, workshops, classes, and training sessions.
Responsible for obtaining and setup of equipment for all programs, introduction of programs, cleanup, and evaluation of programs.
Responsible for purchase and storage of needed supplies.
Maintain program budget in collaboration with the Executive Director.
Identify community-based agencies and private-sector organizations who can contribute to TGP programming.
Familiarize self with community, county, and other resources available to seniors and resources that aid in the development of senior programs.
Work to enhance the visibility of TGP programs, services, and activities.
Coordinate TGP’s presence at the Rock County Senior Fair
Assist Event Coordinator with Community events and Fundraisers including but not limited to The Summer Concert Series, The Style Show, Pumpkin Fest, and Afternoon with Santa.
2. Volunteer Recruitment and Supervision
Encourage members of the community to volunteer, lead classes and/or share knowledge.
Identify appropriate programming volunteer opportunities.
Recruit, train, and oversee program volunteers.
Provide appreciation and recognition for volunteers.
3. Administration
Identify and catalog needs and desires of older adults for learning, creating, and socializing.
Develop and maintain a program information file with both providers of and ideas for programs.
Develop and maintain a program and service record keeping system to record necessary program and participant information and prepare program and service reports as requested.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
