Wage band range $65,000.00 - $77,000.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Position is eligible for Bilingual pay incentive. 

Under the direction of the Wraparound Program Manager is responsible for assisting the program manager in the day to day operations of the program. Assists the program manager in hiring, training, development and oversight of all Child and Family Team Facilitators and is responsible for planning and supervising therapeutic contact with children and families referred. The Program Coordinator Clinician carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it relates to individualized needs of each family and Child and Family team. The Program Coordinator Clinican complies with Casa Pacifica’s mission, values, policies and best practice standards to protect children and preserve families.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):

  • Maintains clinical and administrative oversight of CFT program.
  • Oversees, alongside the Program Manager, the hiring, transfer requests, and promotions of CFT Facilitators, ensuring staff represent Santa Barbara County regarding culture, language, and ethnic representation.  
  • Provides in-depth feedback, training, and coaching Child and Family Team Facilitators to deal with especially difficult meetings by facilitation of weekly Case Review Meetings and individual supervisions.
  • Fills in as a facilitator for CFT meetings, as needed.
  • Receives CFT referrals from community partners, is responsible for inputting referrals in database, assigning referrals and tracking all aspects of the referral process with staff to ensure timeliness standards are met.
  • Coordinates and schedules approximately 45 CFT meetings a month county wide.
  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of assigned files, logs and charts, and prepares reports as requested by the Program Manager.
  • Reviews and signs all staff notes, providing feedback as necessary.  Ensures documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Meets regularly with the Program Manager to discuss program problems and progress
  • Serves as liaison with county partners in Santa Barbara County.
  • Directs introductory period, probationary, and annual evaluations in conjunction with Program Manager.
  • Provides consistent on-call clinical consultation coverage to support staff.
  • Participate in training activities as directed.
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring effective linkages with community and agency service providers.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule as necessary to provide support for staff and families at varying times, days, and places, including early mornings and late evenings.
  • Maintain flexibility in providing services throughout Santa Barbara County.
  • Attends regularly scheduled supervision with the Program Manager.
  • Participate as a back up clinician for the Wraparound and FURS programs.
  • May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  A Master's or Doctoral degree social behavioral field is required: Marriage & Family Counseling; Counseling Psychology; Clinical Psychology; Clinical Counseling; Clinical Mental Health Counseling; Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling; Social Work with an emphasis on Clinical Social Work or related field with two years’ experience working with severely emotionally disturbed/at-risk children, adolescents, and their families.  Experience engaging parents as partners and demonstrated ability to successfully work with families from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.  Experience in crisis management a must.

Must either be currently registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a Registered Associate  Marriage and Family Therapist; Associate Clinical Social Worker; Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, licensed LMFT/LCSW/LPCC, registered/waivered with the Board of Psychology (BOP)

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Must be able to work successfully with families from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.  Ability to effectively conduct meetings and motivate others to work collaboratively, excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Strong organizational and planning skills. Facilitation and service management skills. Must be self-directed, efficient, use time management skills, and be results-oriented.  Must function as a productive member of a service team, and of the Child and Family Team, and maintain clear and appropriate boundaries with clients, families, and other members of the team(s).  Must be able to function independently and with minimal oversight in an effective and productive manner.  Ability to use various computer software (Office XP, Windows XP) and Outlook a must.  Valid California Driver's License with excellent driving record.  Use of personal car at times with mileage reimbursement.  Must have proof of insurance.
