Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Shipfitters for projects located in and around Paducah, KY. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $22/hour based on experience & skill level plus $100/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Repair work on towboats, river barges
Work with stainless steel
Carbon work
Lay out damaged areas on vessel and cut out steel to boat without damaging adjacent plates
Wash off weldings
Hold plates/frame together with cutting torch
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
5+ Years of Shipfitting Experience
Ability to read Blueprints
Weld Test
Hand Tools
Proper PPE
