Huntsman Cancer Institute’s Programs to Enhance Diversity (PED) Office is integral to our guiding principle to put the patient and community first as we strive to reduce cancer burden in our state and region. In alignment with the requirements of our National Cancer Institute Cancer Center Support Grant, the PED Office develops strategies and initiatives to improve access for patients with cancer across all communities, including research, patient care, faculty and staff training, professional workforce development, and engagement with the broader community in the area we serve.
The Program Coordinator will organize and support all aspects of the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) Programs to Enhance Diversity (PED) Office under the direction of the Sr. Director and Sr. Manager.
The Program Coordinator will coordinate and implement projects to improve inclusion across HCI entities. They will coordinate internal work of the PED Department including assisting with the development, tracking, and reporting on strategic goals and objectives. This position will work with HCI and University of Utah trainees, staff, and faculty, and community leaders to design, develop, implement, and continually evaluate interventions that will improve equity at HCI including improving wellbeing and outcomes of populations in our community. Experience with underrepresented groups/populations is preferred.
