Job Summary and Qualifications: RN Magnet Program Coordinator- Full TimeAs the Coordinator for the Magnet Recognition Program® you are responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and overseeing the overall Magnet Recognition Program® and the Magnet designation/re-designation process and related programs.
This position works closely with leadership and staff in executing the Magnet Recognition Program® initiatives. Is responsible for submitting applications, interim monitoring reports, and Magnet documents (initial and re-designation) based on the Magnet criteria.
You will develop and implement organizational strategies and infrastructure to support clinical quality, operational effectiveness, and shared leadership, which are all essential to the Magnet Program®.
You will act as a liaison with all departments within the organization to promote nursing excellence and to further the Magnet philosophy.
You will completes timely validation of NDNQI Nurse Sensitive Indicators, disseminates to appropriate units, and assists with action planning.
You will coordinate and facilitate integration of evidence-based practice and research into clinical and operational practice under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer
You will collaborate with the organization’s key leaders to design processes, systems and programs to promote professional development, support professional nursing practice and shared leadership
You will maintain data to support the Magnet initiatives/program requirements
What qualifications you will need:- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing, required
- BSN Degree required
- 2 years of experience in managing projects, required
- Prior experience as a Magnet Program Coordinator, preferred
- Professional Nursing Certification (i.e. CCRN) required within 6 months of hire
- Current BLS certification
