Housing First Minnesota was founded in the 1930s by a small group of home builders committed to professionalism and a unified presence before government agencies and the public. Headquartered in Roseville, Minnesota, Housing First Minnesota is a nationally recognized impact organization and leading voice for the housing industry. We produce the nation-leading Parade of Homes and Artisan Home Tour events — the country’s largest community celebrations of homeownership, style, and design. Our organization is strengthened by our charitable affiliate, the Housing First Minnesota Foundation. The Foundation is a mission-driven organization focused on partnerships that lead community build projects focused on vulnerable individuals, families and veterans at risk or experiencing homelessness. Our community build projects are a unique collaborative model connecting builders, remodelers, and their trade partners in the building industry with nonprofit organizations in need of new or renovated housing solutions.


Position Summary

Under the leadership of the Foundation’s Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will be a key supportive role to the Foundation’s program and fundraising initiatives including community build project process, donor engagement, community project events, and volunteer committees.


Key Responsibilities

· Support lead with the build project process

· Monitor and track project expenditures

· Management of constituents database related to build projects and donor relations

· Support with build project outreach for publications, social media, blog, and marketing materials related to build projects

· Prepare financial reports and budgets pertaining to projects

· Support lead on project related events (ribbon-cutting and groundbreaking celebrations, build project events, and trade partnership acknowledgement/appreciation)

· Provide logistical and administrative support for all development initiatives as needed

· Responsible for organizing and taking minutes for the board, executive, financial, dream homes, and project committees.

· Assist in donor relations planning and acknowledgement

· Assist in preparation of grant requests specific to projects


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Well-organized, flexible with strong verbal and written communication skills

· Detail oriented

· Understanding of CRM

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

· Have some knowledge of the nonprofit industry

· Nonprofit experience with volunteers, donors, and program support

· Thorough understanding of budgeting, planning practices and policies

· Experience with Salesforce or a comparative database


Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 5-7 years of non-profit experience
