Under direct supervision, performs work and administrative duties specific to a department or program.
- General administrative duties based on department need;
- Compiling and filing medical records or other departmental records;
- Requesting and receiving information as directed, for example diagnostic films, pathology slides, or similar;
- May include telephone coverage;
- May include data entry;
- May include ordering and stocking of supplies.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Under direct supervision, ability to use initiative and sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities
- Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to use a mouse, navigate computer programs, enter data into computer systems in accurately and efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment
- Ability to establish professional relationships with patients, families, staff and providers
- Demonstrated customer service skills
