This is a Full-Time Non-Civil Service position with medical, dental, pension and insurance benefits. The position is under direct supervision of the Community Services Director (CSBG / LIHEAP) The position provides administrative assistance and support for the Community Services Director and administrative staff. Performs related duties as required. This is a non-supervisory classification.

Typical Duties:
- Responsible for administrative support including, but not limited to, answering correspondence and telephones, plan meetings, and schedule appointments.
- Responsible for document preparation, printing, collation and distribution.
- Process, monitor and maintain departmental purchase orders and requisitions.
- Complete special projects/assignments for the administrative staff in the operation of the program.
- Work closely with the Community Services Director to insure administrative procedures are followed.
- Complete work assignments accordingly in a timely fashion.
- Maintain necessary tracking of reports, grant submission dates, etc.
- Experience and knowledge working with data systems and data entry.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma and/ or GED plus two (2) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience.
Valid Tennessee Driver License

Knowledge and operation of office software, computer equipment, and processing data.
Knowledge of proper office, reception, and phone etiquette.
Knowledge and operation of general office equipment.

Ability to deal courteously and respectfully with the public.
Ability to use independent judgment.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
