The Team
The global Content and Campaigns team is responsible for targeting and engaging priority audiences with compelling content and campaigns to help advance our advocacy and programmatic goals and support the foundation's brand. The teams is responsible for the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns and managing foundation brand channels in alignment with our priorities. The team includes Goalkeepers, gatesfoundation.org, The Optimist, the Discovery Center, and the channel strategy and social media management for the foundation and our leadership.

Your Role
Provide a wide and varied range of administrative and organizational support for Deputy Directors and their teams on the Global Content and Campaigns Team. We are seeking a candidate that is comfortable with a dynamic work environment, energized by tackling new areas of work and brings an optimistic disposition to the division. Reporting to the Senior Assistant of the Global Content and Campaigns, this candidate must be able to handle high workloads and competing demands with poise, and flexibility, while meeting deadlines.
Excellent judgement, proactive thinking and action, ownership of assigned responsibilities, resourceful problem solving and acting with integrity and discretion are all critical skills for success in this role. This role facilitates and coordinates a range of critical tasks and projects in support of their team, the Senior/Program Assistant (S/PA) community, and the Communications division. Working in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders daily, acting as a team player and with a sense of humor is essential for success. Experience working at the foundation a plus.
This position is a 3-year limited-term* position based in our Seattle, WA office.
What You'll Do
- Manages complex calendars including meetings with participants in multiple time zones, both internal and external to the foundation.
- Able to find solutions that are fitting for diverse groups with conflicting interests and needs by providing high-quality interactions, clear and consistent communication.
- Manage competing priorities through transparency, collaboration and rigor.
- Assist with logistics, scheduling and planning of events, retreats and conferences, including coordinating arrangements for participants, handling logistics, and disseminating materials for high level events as needed.
- Balances quality of work with meeting deadlines while making the best use of available time and resources. Demonstrated ability to lead and build relationships to gain the respect and trust of others. Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated, diverse team and be comfortable in multiple, high varied settings, and tight deadlines with different work and learning styles.
- Performs task with care; is through. Makes few if any errors and checks work to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, exercise discretion while handling confidential information, and apply sound judgment.

Your Experience
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines while balancing multiple, competing priorities.
- Proactive in identifying team needs and opportunities and helps champion and resolve them.
- Experience establishing organizational systems to improve efficiency and successfully working in a changing environment. Experience in a role requiring collaboration in a complex organization and working with external organizations will be helpful.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts and have the ability to adjust to a wide variety of working styles.
- Ability to work with efficiency, diplomacy, and flexibility particularly as part of a team.
- Experience working on teams with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Experience setting priorities and meeting deadlines while balancing the needs of providing support for multiple individuals, including: calendar management, travel arrangements; and event planning assistance.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change in processes and organization and manage multiple & competing demands and establish priorities.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.

We recognize high-wage market differences where our offices are located, in Seattle, Washington D.C., and Boston (Cambridge). The range for this role in these locations is $62,300 to $87,300 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission and new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
