Program Assistant

Job Summary

Under general supervision from SBDC Program Director, this position provides administrative support and serves as a front line between the SBDC program at Salisbury University and the general public. The position if responsible for answering public inquiries, supporting general office administration, and supporting training event registration/outreach.

Authority and Accountability

Position reports to the Program Director and supports the business counselors in the Network. This position requires no supervision of other team members and has not budgetary responsibility.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Minimum qualification is a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years’ experience providing administrative support.

Preferred Qualifications

Some customer service experience and understanding of customer relations management or social media outreach best practices would be helpful. Work experience at a small, closely held business would be helpful.

This is a part-time, 20-35 hours per week (subject to grant funding) non-exempt contingent position with no benefits. Salary is $18.57 per hour.
