A Program Assistant provides clerical and planning support to the Clinical Director at Minnesota Indian Primary Residential Treatment Center, Inc. The Program Assistant performs administrative duties in a clinical setting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·
Helps maintain a rapid flow of communication between clinical staff and directors. ·
Develops and maintains various filing systems and operates various office machines.
· Answers incoming telephone calls and routes them to the proper staff. ·
Work with Clinical Director to maintain program and employee scheduling.
· Assist other departments with ordering and inventory
· Assist with coordination of intakes/admissions.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS ·
Prefer a High School Diploma or equivalent and previous clerical work experience and/or vocational school is desirable.
· Should be able to type at least 50 WPM accurately, and be able to concentrate amid distractions.
· Possess good spelling, punctuation, and grammar is essential.
· Able to project a neat, professional manner and relate well to the public. · Responsible, mature, and personable. ·
Must be free of problematic substance use for at least one (1) year, willing to attest to length of sobriety.
· Preferably of American Indian heritage and knowledgeable of the traditions and customs of the Indian people native to Minnesota.
· Subject to pre-employment, post accident, return to duty, follow-up, and random drug testing.
· Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
