This Production Manager is responsible for leading and managing the manufacture of products, involving multiple steps and complex processes, to meet quality standards and customer demands in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. The production Manager is responsible for building and supporting The Coca-Cola culture of continuous improvement and efficiency. This position is responsible for ensuring that operational metrics are met by effectively leading a team of 8-10 associates. This is a second or third shift role with opportunity to progress to first shift.
What you'll do for us
  • Lead teams in a 24/5 manufacturing environment while maintaining quality, safety (food safety), and environmental expectations. Second or third shift responsibilities.
  • Maintain the intellectual property of The Coca-Cola Company.
  • Lead a team of 8-10 manufacturing associates and manage all people related responsibilities such as time management, accountability, coaching, etc...
  • Facilitate training and qualifying associates, pre-shift meetings, team assignments and audits.
  • Create an efficient teamwork environment to enhance productivity. Drive positive engagement throughout the team.
  • Manage the creation, documentation, and investigation of all Tier I & II corrective action investigations.
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally on all investigations.
  • Utilize ERP system to determine recipes for manufacture of products. Execute transactions within the ERP system to maintain accurate inventory levels and controls.
  • Enforce Flavor Manufacturing raw materials inventory policies.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) while maintaining document control policies.
  • Manage and organize all retention documentation per The Company document retention policies.
  • Lead process improvement ideas that continue to drive safety, quality, and productivity throughout the manufacturing systems. Commercialization of new equipment and products.
  • Drive Safety, GMP, and 5-S within the production facility.
  • Collect and maintain key performance indicators for the production area.
  • Support the Integrated Management System through actively becoming an internal auditor (KORE or ISO requirements, 5S program).
  • OSHA trainer compliance and conduct internal safety audits.
  • Drive collaborative decision making to remove roadblocks and drive productivity.
  • Troubleshoot machinery (major) and follow up on maintenance required repairs.
  • Report and/or correct safety issues. Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings.
  • Follow procedures for Isolating hold product or defective material.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualification / Competencies / Skills
  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or any technical related field with 3 years manufacturing related experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in MS Office.
  • General manufacturing knowledge (Food safety, quality, GMP, 5-S)
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Solid interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast- paced, stressful environment with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as required.

Experience and Critical Knowledge
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in manufacturing facility in a similar supply chain role.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficient in excel.
  • This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to understand complex manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and strategic thinking skills, with ability to navigate and prioritize multiple conflicting demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing, listening, teamwork and building value-based relationships.
  • Ability to make decisions based on Analytical results.
  • Key skills include long and short-term planning. Organizing, leading change, influencing and communicating widely.
  • Food processing or pharmaceutical planning experience.
  • Considered a plus: Quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) experience and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Demonstrated interaction with senior managers (Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, etc.).

This position requires making and helping directors make key business decisions that could have a major impact on the organizational performance, both in the short and the long term. This position requires strong decision making skills while remaining agile and collaborative.

Working Conditions
Normal manufacturing plant/office working conditions apply. This position is subject to the hazards and risks of a food manufacturing plant and its working environment. This is a 24/5 Manufacturing facility. The role requires flexibility to work any shift, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
Travel Requirements
The position is based in Apopka, Florida. Business travel seldom occurs.

Analysis/Problem Solving
Typical situations to resolve include but are not limited to:
  • Translate overall business strategies into operational objectives.
  • Identify Production gaps and develop actionable improvement plans, coordinating with the different departments.
  • Dealing with conflicting interests (time, limited resources, productivity requirements, shelf-life, lead times, etc.)
  • Propose courses of action for Production and Logistic issues and gaps.
  • Checking and correcting problems not immediately evident in existing systems and processes / making adjustments.
  • Recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
  • Problems required to be solved thorough interpretation of procedures or policies.

Pay Range:
$92,600 - $114,400
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
