- Manage overall production of finished products, process improvements, and materials usage.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet operational goals and inventory requirements.
- Supervise production operations, staff, and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the Plant Engineer to prioritize maintenance activities and ensure facility safety and cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor quality control measures and address any production complaints or issues.
- Maximize production efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Implement and maintain cost control measures, including inventory control.
- Review production reporting and financial and operations reports with the Accounting Manager.
- Lead recruitment, performance management, and development of production employees.
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations set forth by the company and government agencies.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Five or more years of related experience and/or training.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information effectively to top management.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to solve problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and computer skills.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional travel.
