Job Description
1. Line lead personnel will punch in at 6:30am to go to the line and verify the following:
· Coder is set up and ready
· Labeler is ready
· Start up filler and run 10 pieces from front to end of the line
· Alert mechanics of any issues
· Alert supervisor if necessary to get the line going
· Have all line personnel on the line and start the filler by 7:00am.
2. Line leads are responsible for:
· Prior to starting any operations, make sure all previous materials have been completely removed from the area and that it is ready to start another job.
· Ensuring that the equipment is clean and has a sanitized tag before using it.
· Verifying the Part number on the fill ticket against the product to be filled to ensure that it is the correct product.
· Verifying the BOM against the packaging that is brought to the line.
· Completing the required information in the fill records; control numbers, quantities, etc.
· Reading the fill instructions to make sure they are followed.
· Monitor the line periodically to make sure all is still in order.
· At end of production run all remaining labels, label cores, label spoilage are to be turned in to the label room for reconciliation.
· Changing shrink and labels.
· Create pallet tags.
· Follow all GMP requirements, more specifically:
o Wear clean clothing as well as clothing that does not shed lint, fibers, or particles.
o Wear head covering and gloves around open product or containers to avoid contamination with dandruff, hair, scalp, or skin particles.
o Jewelry will not be allowed in the assembly and manufacturing areas. Wedding rings will be the only exception.
o Keep work area and equipment properly cleaned, maintained, and free from dirt and dust.
o Avoid contamination by keeping containers tightly sealed. Keep any components not in use covered. Hoppers and manufacturing tanks should be covered as much as possible during the workday. Any hoppers or tanks containing product should be covered at the end of the shift.
o Avoid mix-ups and errors by checking all labeling and packaging against work orders and bill of materials prior to start-up of production.
o Report any illness or injury to the supervisor immediately.
o No Food, Drink or Gum in warehouse or filling area at any time.
3. Follow production supervisor/manager’s instructions for general production requirements.
4. Maintain quality standards.
5. Perform proper line clearance at the end of every production run.
Language Ability: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and management. Ability to write and speak clearly and effectively. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and top management. Bilingual preferred.
Math Ability: Ability to work with arithmetic concepts (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, and percentages) and produce the required results.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
