Description:
Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a licensed Structural Engineer. This position will help expand our growing Structural practice through client relationship building, technical execution of projects, and developing staff. Responsibilities include assisting and/or leading efforts in the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for various concurrent projects. Project types may include heavy civil projects such as dams, flood and retaining walls, water and wastewater treatment facilities, water transmission including aerial pipe crossings, routine and signature bridge designs as well as architectural projects such as low and mid-rise commercial, educational, and industrial buildings, and support of landscape architectural designs. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently. Must have a proven ability to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with clients, both internal and external.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering is preferred
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 10+ years of structural design experience
- Familiar with ACI350
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Project Management experience and/or experience on federal projects is a plus
