- Complies with all PPE standards and is aware of all safety practices, follows safety rules and procedures, complies with all legal regulations.
- Make sure joints are tight and plates are properly positioned ensuring the finished product quality.
- Inspect lumber for excessive knots and wane.
- Correct all defects and advises Supervision.
- Rack trusses as required, inspecting for defects in the finished product.
- Having a thorough understanding of shop drawings, structure and geometry.
- Monitors inventory and flow of materials and supplies relating to assembly process.
- Works in more complicated aspects of assembly process.
- Checking of complicated assembling process such as rises and dimensions
- Stocks all materials and informs forklift operator of needed materials to stock lines.
- Trains truss builders on processes
- Tracks materials per job.
- Maintains equipment.
- Keeps table square for each shift.
- Acts as Line Leader, providing detailed instruction and direction regarding assembly and materials process.
- Provides daily direction and motivation to truss builders.
- Performs quality control methods and procedures.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by management.
- Without direct reports
- Has at least 1 years of experience in truss assembly.
- Is a team player.
- Is detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
- 40+ hours weekly.
- Good communication skills
