Production Director

As the Production Director, you'll collaborate closely with the Traffic Manager, serving as a vital link between various departments within the station. This role involves seamless communication and coordination with Sales, Traffic, Production, Promotions, and Programming Departments, as well as Advertising Agencies and clients. Your ability to facilitate effective interaction among these entities will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and successful outcomes across the board.

With a keen eye for quality, the Production Director ensures that all advertising and promotional content meets the station's and clients' standards.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Create commercial content

2. Retrieve commercials from designated online sources as per advertiser instructions

3. Import audio files into automation/commercial library

4. Coordinate voice talent assignments for commercials utilizing in-house voices

5. Perform voiceover work for commercials

6. Collaborate with the traffic department to ensure timely airing of commercials

7. Liaise with the traffic department to align commercial preparation with daily logs

8. Upload commercials and music to the commercial/music library

9. Manage video production including live event recordings, camera operation, lighting, and audio setup

10. Conduct post-production tasks such as editing, motion graphics, special effects, and voiceover work for videos

11. Capture photography for special events, talent, promotions, etc.

12. Oversee social media platforms by creating copy, posting updates, and uploading photos and other content

13. Maintain website content by writing copy, uploading materials, and performing general maintenance

14. Design graphical materials for promotional purposes, client projects, and internal initiatives

15. Produce PSA (Public Service Announcement) programs

16. Generate and update monthly reports for the public file

17. Host and manage weekly programs across various stations

19. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·        High School Diploma is required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Media Production, or related field preferred

·        A minimum of 5 years of professional experience providing production support is required, experience within the broadcasting industry is preferred.

·        Strong MS Office skills (Power Point, Excel, and Word) are required.

·        Exceptional organizational and attention to detail skills

·        Exceptional written and verbal communications skills

·        Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $80,000, Salary
