Summary
At Meta, the AI Systems and Accelerated Platforms organization comprises the teams responsible for defining, developing, and delivering the compute, storage, and network hardware and software upon which all Meta products and services run.As the Director of Product Management, High-Performance Computing (HPC) Systems, you will be building and managing a PM team that will be defining and managing the next-generation AI/HPC systems, including their full lifecycle, that enable deployment of solutions at planet scale and meet Meta's growing product and business needs. HPC Systems constitute a crucial part of our future infrastructure and company growth.The ideal candidate will be passionate about identifying, delivering and scaling the next generation disruptive infrastructure compute and networking technologies, and have proven success in building and managing PM teams, including growing product managers into organizational leaders and working closely with a broad range of technical and non-technical cross-functional partners. In this role, you'll invest in the growth of your team by helping set clear expectations and development plans; providing regular, actionable feedback; and coaching or sharing resources/opportunities, as needed, to hold your team accountable to success. You will create strategies for new and large product areas and help guide your team, as well as influence other parts of the company, to leverage existing or emerging data/research to drive effective execution in largely ambiguous spaces.You will have the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-growing and dynamic environment, nurture a culture that develops people & engineering skills, embrace open technologies, influence industry direction and the proven ability to execute successfully from product development through the hyperscale deployment into the Meta data centers globally.
Required Skills
Director, Product Management, High-Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Responsibilities:
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Drive the strategy for a portfolio of products to create a deliberate plan and a cohesive strategy
  • Lead a team through the ideation, development, and launch of innovative products in areas of significant strategic ambiguity
  • Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers in both hardware and software, partnering with cross-functional team members including content strategists, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers distributed around the world
  • Attract, build, manage, and develop a talented, diverse, equitable and inclusive team of product managers and product leaders
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
  • Understand Facebook's strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goal
  • Identify and initiate opportunities for new projects or focus areas and builds teams necessary to execute
  • Uphold a culture of respect, integrity, inclusion, innovation
  • Recruit, develop and retain a world-class team of top product managers who are recognized subject matter experts and have experience in hyper scale infrastructure

Minimum Qualification
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or MBA or equivalent practical experience
  • 17+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, and/or Product Design
  • 17+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, and industry ecosystem teams
  • 10+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and senior leaders
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, leveraging data, and handling ambiguity to make business decisions
  • Proven organizational, communication, execution, cross-functional and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in building products related to high performance computing systems for AI/ML
  • Experience building 0-1 products, platform/ecosystem products, or marketplaces
