Classic Industries, America’s first choice in restoration and performance parts for classic cars, is looking for a Production Artistto add to our dynamic in-house creative team.
The Production Artist will be responsible for the accuracy and quality of our parts catalog files before publication.
Duties include diligently applying design changes and recommendations to each project while handling an array of projects at any given moment.
A high standard for quality control and collaboration is a must for this position.
Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and Output files to vendors and creative agencies and ensure the file is technically correct and is consistent in application of styles and colors
- Follow documented processes for using layers, color names, and placed artwork
- Process content changes in pages from team members and proofreading marks, adhering to customer style and brand guidelines with minimum to no errors
- Finesse layout due to content changes provided to be aesthetically pleasing while following style and brand guidelines
- Utilize work in process system to ensure proper file management and linkage of graphics within the document
- Takes ownership, leads initiatives and successfully executes through all stages of catalog production, schedules, deadlines, creative consistencies, and process proficiencies
- Understands the companies needs and methodology as it relates to cataloging production
- Other production art duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro.
- High proficiency Google Workspace
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Proven experience creating, maintaining, and integrating websites and applications
- Sharp attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking and innovative approach
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great team player who is open to constructive feedback
- Able to sit in front of a computer for long hours at a time
A bachelor’s degree in design or other related positions is preferred.
Significant course work in graphic design, print production, visual arts or a related field, along with an outstanding portfolio and experience that demonstrates clear knowledge of print production and design, may suffice in the absence of a degree.
