Product Specialist

Your Mission
Mondi is looking for a Product Specialist to establish, manage and maintain Product Specifications based on the customer's need.

• Plan and Coordinate Trials for Customers and suppliers.
• Host trial Meetings in accordance with trial process.
• Monitor trials daily, modify as necessary, and communicate status.
• Process all ORF's or other forms of input for new items/verifying that all information is correct and matches the offer and create the item in the production database system.
• Reverse Engineering of competitor products in order to develop specs for competitive offers.
• Maintain close communications with Procurement in regard to material substitution and raw material claims.
• Provides technical support to Planning, Production, Customer Service and the Sales Team as required.
• Assist and Suppor the Planner as needed.
• Maintains Data Integrity for Article Specifications in ISCA/SAP, including mass updates as required.
• Key User in ISCA.
• Works closely with Shift Leaders, Material Handlers, Slitter Operator, Ink Maker and Mounting as needed for trials and technical support.
• Resolves problems by collecting and analyzing information, coordinating solutions.
• Ensures that all administration procedures are followed and executed in a professional manner.
• Ad-hoc Reporting-requires significant knowledge of SAP Query tables.
• Support overall Management needs as defined.
• Must be able to work in a schedule driven environment. Timing is a critical function.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

• Bachelors's degree in business or related field or related work and training experience equivalent to degree.
• 3-5 years as Technical Support in a Manufacturing environment.
• SAP software experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to self-direct activities, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
