Job Summary
The Production Systems Specialist will partner with internal clients to ensure successful design and implementation of assigned technology solutions related to card manufacturing and personalization systems. Areas of responsibility include system life-cycle documentation and configuration, maintenance changes and upgrades, and operational support as subject matter expert (SME). Accountable for completing tasks and assignments in a timely manner, and coordinating with stakeholder groups to ensure system functionality meets requirements. Must be able to balance priorities with multiple initiatives to ensure timely delivery of business commitments.Location: 325 Marmon Drive, Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Job Duties
Production Systems Specialist designs, implements, and validates functionality across multiple system integration points and technologies. Assesses change requirements, guides design reviews, and documents functionality improvements to facilitate system sustainability. Configures, tests, and implements approved updates for assigned applications using Jira tools. Ensures proprietary solutions work seamlessly in conjunction with multiple local, regional, and global production environments, including integrations between AWS, Azure, web portals, APIs, and ERP systems (SAGE and SAP ERP).

Applies senior-level system engineering and integration expertise to develop, maintain, upgrade, document, and support assigned Production Systems and technologies.
Uses critical thinking skills to propose functional improvements, troubleshoot complex systems problems, and recommend appropriate actions to streamline cross-system integrations.
Provides consultative expertise regarding technology used to manage order processing data and file transfers shopfloor jobs, and inventory tracking in order to maintain ERP Production Systems, processes, and reporting.
Follows required change management methods to implement and verify system updates meet requirements.
Knowledge, experience, and ability to independently accomplish tasks and overcome perceived constraints.
Demonstrates consistent ability to balance a sense of urgency against measured thinking and attention to detail.
Conducts oneself in a professional manner at all times with good communication skills in English, team player.
Self-starter who exhibits reliable judgment in dealing with business, personnel, or security-related information.

Qualifications and Skills
Technical expertise:
Requires experience implementing and maintaining software systems using Jira change management practices.
Ability to analyze, understand, and troubleshoot complex system processing environments; expertise working with Windows servers and MS-SQL databases is required.
Ability to independently troubleshoot applications, diagnose system problems to find root cause, take corrective actions to resolve issues, and handle routine administrative duties as required to provide technical support.
Expertise in gathering operational and functional requirements, and translating those into technical details.
Ability to effectively align expectations and coordinate changes requested from various stakeholder groups.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong track record of implementing and maintaining manufacturing-related systems, preferably with expertise across supply chain, logistics and finance modules.
Ability to conceptualize and analyze systems, with proven planning, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage and influence others through effective verbal and written communications, including presentations at all organizational levels.
Experienced with project planning methods/tools, and ability to timely complete initiatives successfully.
Responds to issues with urgency, yet balances production needs against detail-oriented thinking and actions.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for actions, as well as interact with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment to ensure corporate technology strategy is achieved.
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience is required.
Minimum of 5 years program development experience working with technology platforms using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SSRS, Crystal Reports, XML, C/C#, Python, as well as web frameworks (AWS and/or Azure).
Good understanding of technical requirements gathering, system analysis, sustainable code design, change management, and validation testing methods.
High level of functional competency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
Familiar with .pgp encryption, as well as data communications using SFTP, Connect:Direct, and web API methods is preferred.
Prior smart-card industry experience with data cryptography and knowledge of encryption methods is a plus.
