Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Product Marketing Intern to join GitHub’s Product Marketing team for the summer. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Product Marketing in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work across GitHub’s various product offerings, giving you a unique view into GitHub’s product strategy and the opportunity to work on some of the most innovative new technologies.
Expected Length of Summer Internship: May 20, 2024 to Aug 9, 2024
- Assist in the development and implementation of Product Marketing strategies, including market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights.
- Support the creation of marketing materials such as presentations, and promotional content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure cohesive branding and communication.
- Engage in digital marketing efforts with a focus on highlighting the interconnected benefits of GitHub’s products.
- Contribute to market research and competitive analysis.
- Help organize and execute promotional events, including webinars.
- Currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications or a related field with a keen interest in technology with at least one quarter/semester to complete after the internship
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and compelling way
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with some ambiguity, across multiple product domains
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong passion for and understanding of platform development, AI, and security trends
- Proficient in Google Suite
In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
