We are seeking a Product Manager (Remote) to join our growing K-12 Education Suite team!
Responsibilities & QualificationsPosition Summary
Community Brands is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help drive a comprehensive product strategy across our K-12 Education Suite. As the Product Manager, you will define and lead our product strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing business opportunities across two or more roadmaps. The Product Manager will be an integral part of the product leadership team, deeply embedded in the Education business unit and working collaboratively across functions. This role requires strong qualitative skills, strategic thinking, sound business judgement, along with the ability to think creatively and work independently.
A Day in the Life
- Develop themes and strategic vision for roadmap initiatives, illustrating the direction and key phases of development.
- Partner with Product Owners to align program increment objectives to roadmap initiatives, in coordination with business and product management leadership.
- Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with leadership on current strategic initiatives.
- Manage and maintain product roadmaps, ROI (return on investment) documentation and project workbooks, as needed.
- Develop business cases (business plan, market research, pricing decisions, positioning, etc.) as needed.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to determine how well strategies are performing, impact to company operations, and contribution margins.
- Attend ongoing Agile and scrum ceremonies to stay informed of team activities and priorities.
- Conduct prioritization and feedback exercises with internal stakeholders and customers to inform strategy on projects, where applicable.
- Serve as primary product contact for business level partnerships and customer escalations.
- Attend and present product vision for business level meetings and corporate conferences, as needed.
- Execute early adopter/BETA programs as needed, for strategic projects.
- Partner with Product Marketing to execute GTM activities as needed for strategic projects.
- Coach and manage a team of two or more Product Owners as direct reports.
We are looking for someone who brings
- Must have strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to present to internal and external audiences
- Must have experience withee project management, with demonstrated skills in good decision-making, prioritization, follow-up, and artifact creation
- Must have an eye for detail and organization, with the ability to produce and track a plan, holding contributors responsible
- Must be a self-starter, with a bias towards action and the ability to develop collaborative partnerships with business leaders
- Strong ability to adapt to changing business and role requirements
- Must have a growth mindset and subscribe to a continuous learning philosophy
- Knowledge about Edtech preferred
- Experience working within Agile development processes preferred
Education and Experience
- 3+ years professional experience in Product Management, with at least 2 years experience directly managing people
- B.A./B.S. degree or related work experience
- Familiarity and experience with Agile Methodology as a Product Manager
- Experience with owning roadmap across multiple platforms and scrum teams a plus
- Experience working within scaled agile framework (SAFe) methodology a plus
