Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Apparel Production Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the fashion industry and a strong desire to contribute to the production process of high-quality apparel. The Apparel Production Assistant will work closely with the production team to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of all production activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and managing the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of apparel products.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to track orders, manage inventory, and ensure the availability of materials for production.
- Assist in sample development and production processes, including pattern making, sample sewing, and fitting sessions.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to interpret design concepts and translate them into actionable production plans.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the production process to meet customer expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to identify any defects or discrepancies and take corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of production records, including production reports, inventory logs, and supplier documentation.
- Support the production team in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the production process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to contribute innovative ideas and improvements to the production process.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in apparel production or manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, and production processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in apparel production is a plus.
Salary: $65,000-$80,000 BOE
