As a Mixology product manager, you will be part of a business-oriented, innovative, and entrepreneurial team. You will be responsible for the strategy, creation and commercialization of groundbreaking mixology concepts and offerings for US Roastery and Starbucks Reserve locations.
We are looking for a candidate who has a background in and passion for alcohol and mixology, including the potential for product development, a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, growth mindset, and a laser focus on customers and our store partners.
Business Management
- Deliver performance reports for Mixology with excellence, able to map business opportunities and make sound strategy recommendations (key values: craft)
- Lead Mixology 3-year strategy, researching emerging industry trends and customer/ partners insights to make compelling customer and business-driven recommendations.
- Represent Mixology in cross-functional forums, e.g., Sustainment, Ops Connect, NPI
Commercialization
- Lead new product innovation (NPI) process for Mixology and collaborate with cross-functional team to bring new components and finished beverages to stores.
- In partnership with the product development team, create and implement new cocktail recipes
- Develop project business cases to support financial plan revenue and profitability targets, leveraging internal data and customer/partner insights
Promotional Go-To-Market
- Delivers impactful product launch programs, including briefing, feasibility/operational reviews and multiple reviews of marketing and operations toolkits
Qualifications
We’d love to hear from people with:
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn and collaborate with our cross-functional partners
- A background in Mixology and Alcohol, including product development
- 2 years+ experience in a role supporting product strategy and commercialization management. Retail experience highly appreciated.
- Progressive analytical experience with proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of US military experience, MBA a strong positive
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
- Ability to manage projects, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to navigate change and ambiguity, and do the right things even when it is hard (key value: courage)
