Job description

GM Financial is the wholly owned captive finance subsidiary of General Motors and is headquartered in Fort Worth, U.S. We are a global provider of auto finance solutions, with operations in North America, South America and the Asia Pacific region. Through our long-standing relationships with auto dealers, we offer attractive retail financing and lease programs to meet the needs of each customer. We also offer commercial lending products to dealers to help them finance and grow their businesses.

At GM Financial, our team members define and shape our culture — an environment that welcomes new ideas, fosters integrity and creates a sense of community and belonging. Here we do more than work — we thrive.

Our Purpose: We pioneer the innovations that move and connect people to what matters

As the Lead Technical Application Specialist for the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Platform, you will be responsible for defining and driving CIAM platform implementation roadmap. The Lead TSA will bridge the gap between the product development and technical design. You manage and guide the implementation of the product vision and direction set in the product roadmap. In other words, you will serve as the glue keeping business and technical sides of the product teams connected.

As a member of the scrum team, you will maintain a smooth and transparent connection between the business stakeholders and the team members.

  • Collaborate and partner with CIAM consumers, IT stakeholders and Cyber Security to define platform vision and feature roadmap
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshops and perform gap analysis – as-is functionality versus to be functionality
  • Understand the business value and implementation complexity to prioritize product backlog
  • Work with product management and solution architects to create features and stories with acceptance criteria and sign-off when a feature is ready for release
  • Assist Solution Architect and engineering teams in clarifying feature requirements and understanding the expected business outcomes
  • Communicate with all levels of leadership, internal business partners and external vendor(s) regarding product features, functionality, deadlines, and dependencies
  • Support vendor selection activities including recommendations of when to make the appropriate build vs. buy decisions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies to understand and remove impediments/blockers
  • Maintain expertise and currency in leading identity and access management industry trends and technologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures

What Makes You A Dream Candidate:

  • Experience applying platform mind-set to building solutions; not just point solutions
  • IAM deployment experience using Okta, SailPoint or Azure Active Directory preferred
  • Knowledgeable in identity federation, access control and directory protocols: SAML 2.0, SSO, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP
  • Working knowledge of IAM capabilities in the areas of Directory Services, Identity, Governance and Administration, Federated SSO, Federation, Privileged Access Management, Application Secrets Management and Certificate Lifecycle Management.
  • Experience working within a matrix organization, collaborating with business stakeholders, user experience teams, product managers, architects, and engineering teams
  • Familiarity with public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP), knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture and database concepts
  • Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ability to overcome steep learning curve within a short period of time on any subject and speak intelligently about the subject
  • Ability to apply your business acumen and technical knowledge to envision novel approaches and solutions for the next generation of CIAM solutions
  • Strong business acumen to quickly learn new solution processes and understand how technology supports the business
  • Ability to visually communicate process/system requirements and recommendations

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate Degree preferred Or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business or other related fields preferred
  • 3-5 years of Lead/Senior systems analyst experience in an IT environment and respective business area in analyzing and implementing application systems preferred

  • 3-5 years of proven experience managing IT projects preferred
  • Greater than 15 years of IT industry experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience leading implementation of CIAM/IAM initiatives
  • At least 3 years of CIAM/IAM services experience
