OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
The Boiler Production Lead is responsible for the daily activities associated with the manufacturing of Fulton products for a specified area and production employees. This position leads the team members to optimize the manufacturing processes to meet the customer’s needs in a manner that is consistent with the company’s values and operating philosophy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work on the floor with production workers while promoting product and process improvements.
- Establish, implement, and maintain an effective Daily Routine which includes assembling subassemblies and boiler components, standard work practices, 6S standards and data collection to track and improve overall business performance.
- Ensure all team members have a development plan outlining areas they are currently trained in as well as future cross training opportunities to handle production variables and business demands.
- Coordinate, manage and effectively communicate during start of shift huddles as well as throughout the day to manage scheduling of work assignments, overtime requirements and vacations scheduling.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):
- High School Degree or GED
- 5 years of experience working in a similar production environment required
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical prints.
- Welding experience is preferred, but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Medium Work – Regularly exerts up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Walking and standing is required more than 75% of the day.
- Vision – Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, inspection involving small defects or welds, use and operation of machines, use of measurement devices, etc
- Bending/Stooping – Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Full motion of the body, lower extremities and back muscles.
- Walking – Moving about on foot to travel and accomplish tasks, including long distances or site to site
