Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimize supply chain operations and drive efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service agreements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and requirements
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address any issues or concerns
- Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Utilize systems such as MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to track inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Conduct root cause analysis to address supply chain disruptions or quality issues
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in procurement
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, category management, and materials management
- Proficient in contract negotiation and contract management
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in using procurement systems and software
