Process Technology (PTECH) Operator

The Gas Plant Operator?s main task is to ensure the gas plants stays operational and troubleshoot any problems which may arise. Gas Plant Operators will be expected to complete assignments within acceptable work standards with a minimum amount of supervision.

• Have a PTECH degree
• Be able to work a rotating shift schedule
• Keep and maintain process and maintenance logs
• Familiar with lockout/ tagout in a plant setting
• Operate a human machine interface (HMI)
• Read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
• Work in hot, cold, or rainy weather
• Be able to climb on equipment
• Get underneath equipment
• Keep the work area clean.
• Preferred non-smoker
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Be able to read and write English
• Have an understanding of process systems
• Have general computer knowledge
• Be able to be fit tested and wear a respirator
• Have dependable transportation means
• Be able to handle stress, and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
